Help the Executive Director with daily administrative tasks including communications and scheduling , writing and completing rental contracts , organizing files , greeting visitors and answer phones . Help schedule meetings .Look over budgets and at time help with grant applications . This person would be supervised by the Executive Director . Flexible hours in accordance with required school program .
Good organizational skills . Good communication skills written and oral. Candidate must be comfortable dealing with the public – visitors . An interest in contemporary art would be of benefit but not necessary .
Help with organizational messaging through social media tools – instagram , twitter , facebook and tumbler . Occasional updates to the web site – word press. The assistant would help assess the effectiveness of marketing tools and messaging . The assistant would help with media releases and learn how to make a story pitch . This person would be supervised by the Executive Director . Hours again are flexible according to the school program requirements .
The position requires a good working knowledge of social media skills . The candidate should have good communication skills written and oral and be a good team player comfortable with working with others and dealing with the public and with dealing with media .
This person should be able to put together designs for marketing tools – evites , posters .They would have access to design platforms and be creative but also able to take direction . This person might also help with some word press web designs for the web site .
The candidate should have a working knowledge of design platforms and be able to think creatively . They should be able to work in a team environment and work collectively and independently to reach goals .
All positions are voluntary . Interns will be assessed as required through school Co Op Programs and receives references for future employment
